Brick Slip Q & A

Q – Lime in a damp environment is highly corrosive to aluminium. Surely this is a major concern?
A – With the system we anodise the railing supports to isolate the lime and aluminium, preventing any bimetallic issues. It is also a ventilated build up allowing for natural airflow.
Q – Are these A1 fire rated?
A – The system is classified under EN 13501-1, meeting the required construction product standards for fire performance. Testing was carried out by Warringtonfire, part of the Element Group. The classification is based on results from the Single Burning Item (SBI) test (EN 13823), combined with calorific value data from EN 1716 or EN 1182, depending on the material.
Q – Is the system independently tested?
A – Independently accredited by UL
(Underwriters Laboratories) the system meets the requirements of the UL Mark ‘Performance of Curtain Walling and Cladding and Rainscreen Cladding Support Systems’ certification scheme.

60 year warranty on stone composite façade panels

Stone composite façade panels have a 60 year warranty. This means minimal building maintenance, simple cleaning, which leads to lower lifetime costs.

The panels can be installed at any time of the year, regardless of the temperature and weather conditions.

BIM modelling is now available to architects, saving time when compared with manual design work. This allows the architect to create multiple alternative concepts and precise models at an early stage.
